Event Sign-Up

For many people, engaging in discussions about issues related to diversity can be a challenge. Part of the difficulty lies in the fact that we never fully know which issues will be “hot buttons” for others. Conversations can become heated very quickly and participants can feel blindsided. This session seeks to help faculty, students, and staff at UW-Whitewater feel more confident engaging in difficult dialogues by encouraging reflection on how such discussions connect with larger goals, and by providing specific strategies and resources that we can use to create more productive conversations.
